Understanding
the Versions on this web site may not be the easiest thing on this site, but this can sort
of clarify it. The way I put versions on, isn't always standard, but here is my way. Whenever I complete a page it starts out as 1.0. It will stay that way, until I add anything that is not required. A thing like that is like the code <span=title"">. That is not required, so after adding that to a few places, the page will now be 1.1. Also if I add a new image, or edit an image. That will change until I would get to 2.0. It will basically be a whole new site, because it will look a lot different. The page version will not go up, if I update a link. Also I would automatically switch the version to 2.0 if I scrapped the original site and readapted a new layout. Right now the main site page, index.htm is in version 5.0 It is on the 5th layout and has been edited heavily since I first created it. I hope this helps. |
